About the Artist
Abaine Campbell-Gardner is a transgender male artist currently based in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada.
Campbell-Gardner is always exploring new mediums and application methods, layering mediums with each other. He is interested in exploring the relationship between people and our environment. Using colour, texture, and value to create pieces that highlight our engineered cities, farmlands, and forests; humanities hidden and blatant influence on the spaces we occupy. He is currently using these interests to develop a series of artist workshops in the Haldimand, Norfolk, and Niagara regions to make art more accessible to aspiring artists and hobbyists.
Campbell-Gardner has had a passion for the arts since 2017, starting with classes in high school and continuing to complete the Visual and Creative Arts Diploma as well as the Drawing and Painting Certificate at Fleming College. He has been featured in the Superpresent Magazine as well as a winner of the Honourable Mention Award for the 2024 Landscapes contest hosted by TERAVARNA. Campbell-Gardner continues to work towards becoming a full-time independent artist and mentor.
